Open Source Business Intelligence Christian Donner, March 16, 2006March 16, 2006 I will be speaking about Open Source Business Intelligence at the First Annual Enterprise Open Source Conference in New York, NY, on June 5. I am in the middle of collecting material, contacting vendors and putting together a high-level agenda for the session. Check back frequently for updates and previews on this topic here. Open Source and Business Intelligence seem to have come together over the past year. There are some strong products available now – particularily if you allow a rather wide definition of the term “Business Intelligence”. In the past I would not have categorized a pure reporting tool as “Business Intelligence”, but vendors like to do that for obvious reasons, so I will be looking at reporting tools as well.
