Dear Christan, I have read your post from 2008 about a radar system: http://cdonner.com/a-low-cost-traffic-monitoring-and-data-collection-system.htm I’m interested to know if you still use this. If not, would you want to sell it? I want to have something like this, but as a software IT guy, I find it hard to make the hardware. I already destroyed 2 bushnell radars in my attempt and soldering my own Ramsey speedy radar unit is not an option. If you’re interested in selling, please let me know. Regards, Tim
Tim, Sorry that I missed your comment for almost 2 months. I am in the process of reactivating the radar and I will not sell it (especially after I just saw recently that these radar guns go for $300+ on Ebay now, three times of what I paid). I have to build a protective housing for it because I can no longer point it through the basement window (the energy efficiet coating of the new windows blocks radar waves). The nice thing about the SR3600 is that you do not need to tamper with the unit itself. You just need to wire the cable correctly and splice in a generic power supply. My instructions are fairly detailed, and will not easily do any harm to the unit even if you wire it incorrectly. Christian
Hi there, I’ve read your story on the 2003 Honda Accord transmission issues. I bought the car in 2005. It has 117K miles on it and a few mechanics have said Honda Accords are notorious for this. I will take your advice to heart. Going to Honda tomorrow. Any suggestions?
I wish you luck, but as a 2nd owner after all these years I don’t think you have a chance of getting much. Others who bought the car new have failed. Don’t have it fixed at Honda if they don’t help you.
Please Help! My Honda accord I just bought off of a one owner is doing the same things other people’s transmissions are doing ????I need to know what the fix is and what to do..please help ANYONE !! Single mom with 2 kids and now broke because of this car I can no longer drive????I need to make it to work!!

Caleb, Ours gave out in 2009. Yours is now 14 years old. There is no way Honda will buy you a new transmission.

Christian, Thanks for your online help. I’ve purchased a damper gasket & adhesive as you show on the link here. The product didn’t come with any instructions although not much is needed. Your instructions say dampen with sponge/water before putting the glue on the damper metal, is that right? Seems clean and DRY would be the goal? no? Anyway on hold hoping for your reply. -Thanks again —-Bob Tucker, SC http://cdonner.com/sealing-leaky-cast-iron-fireplace-chimney-damper.htm
Hey Christian- read your post on registering the trailer in mass. I have the original cert of origin and the reg application all filled out. Is there anything else I need besides the insurance stamp? Thanks
Hi Christian I read your story about registering your trailer in RMV. I am trying to register a small boat trailer that I bought (boat and trailer)from an individual but he didn’t have any papers for the trailer. He gave me the old plate with a 2017 sticker and he signed the bill of sale with the VIN number. It is a good trailer and don’t want to get rid of it, but RMV rejected my application twice. The plate was registered to somebody else but the seller doesn’t want to give me his name. Any suggestions? Danke, Martin
Installed a sauna from saunafin about a year ago worked perfrct for first 20/25 times we used it then all of a sudden it would not turn on and when I finally got it on it would not shutoff by the controller, I had to use the breaker. So contacted saunafin and they said it was high limit so ordered new high limit and new digital controller and changed both. Still doing the same it will turn on but have to use breker to turn off. Just wondering if you have suggestion on what it might be. Evan now when it is on it is working perfect heats up to limit and it automatically shutsoff when it reaches its max temp, by then I am done and try to shut off but have to use breaker Thx Ky
In the post “how-trying-to-register-a-small-trailer-in-massachusetts-during-covid-19-turned-into-a-6-week-ordeal” you said: “I learned that, even though a policy it not required and there is no cost, a trailer rider needs to be added to the auto insurance.” How did you do this without a cost? How did you just add a “trailer rider” to your auto insurance policy? I am banging my head against the wall with this step. Thanks for the cohesive write up of a similar hell that i’m living through.
Sorry for the late response, maybe someone else wants to know this, so here is my answer. I didn’t do anything, the insurance agent (at my AAA office) did this. The trailer does show up on my policy as a separate vehicle, but there is no cost for it.
