Ouch – AirBnB

AirBnB charges a hefty 10% service fee. The sites states that as a renter your fee will be refunded only if the request is not accepted. But what if you have to cancel a request because the description of the place turns out to be inaccurate? Or what, as it was the case with my first request, the description turns out to be inaccurate before the request was accepted?
