Java Proxy for SQL Server Reporting Services Christian Donner, March 29, 2006March 29, 2006 Ilia Papas and I put this solution together about a year ago – actually, Ilia put it together based on my idea and prototype. Our article on Javaworld still generates some feedback and questions. I assume that there are people out there who would like to get their hands on a ready-to-use, configurable component as opposed to a collection of code snippets. Ilia and I have been discussing the possibility of packaging the code and creating an Open Source project on Sourceforge. If you are a potential user, please share some feedback about what kind of functionality you would like to see. Thanks. Hi, We are interested in integrating the java proxy servlet in our application but would like to know first if a newer release exists. Thanks for your feedback.
G’day Christian, I found this article on JavaWorld. Is there any source code available for it? Thanks.
THe original source is still available on JavaWorld: http://www.javaworld.com/javaworld/jw-01-2005/sqlrs/jw-0110-sqlrs.zip
Hi, I am already using the source code and have a bunch of questions I was hoping you could assist with. Is this forum still active? Thanks, Lungelo
Well, this was 10 years ago and with SSRS 2005 if I remember correctly. While the approach might still work in principle, I really don’t know and can’t help you any further.
Hi Again, Thanks for the reply. It seems to still work but with a tiny little error thrown at the final step of my project. I know you can’t help but if you know how to fix this please advise. The error is: ReportRequest – ERROR: No cookie provided by report server. Aborting. I do have a connection between java and the reporting server and don’t know why I am getting the error.
